Giancarlo Zannier

Giancarlo Zannier brings unparalleled experience to the PSP Legal team.

He has been practising law since 1966 and he founded and then headed for almost 50 years the oldest professional association of lawyers in the province of Pordenone.

Over the course of his long career he has gained unmatched experience in the area of civil liability and insurance law, as a long-serving and highly regarded trustee of numerous Insurance Companies.

He is also an expert in sports law, having held since 1998 the role of Member of the Federal Court of Appeal of FIJLKAM, of which, in 2015, he became acting President of the Federal Court of Appeal and of the Sports Court of Appeal.

He is founding partner of the “Sports Law and Medicine Study Centre”, based in Rome and established on 30 May 2016.

As part of the PSP Legal team, he practices in the area of sports law, insurance law and civil liability, with particular focus on medical liability, a sector in which he boasts over 30 years of experience, including as trustee of the Pordenone Hospital and of the C.R.O. of Aviano.

He was President of Santa Maria degli Angeli Hospital in Pordenone from 1976 to 1981, a member of the Local Health Unit from 1982 to 1986 and Vice President from 1986 to 1991.
He served as President of the Council of the Bar Association of Pordenone from 2006 to 2015 and as Vice President of the Triveneto Union of the Councils of the Bar Association from 2010 to 2015.

In 2016 he received the “Golden Toga” award.

Since 2020 he has been a member of the judicial council of the Court of Appeal of Trieste.

He works in Italian.

He is a member of the Pordenone Bar Association.
